Uploading Media Files to Drop.io

Drop.io is a free online media host that does not require email or registration. You can store files there and mark them as private as well.

Go to the website: drop.io   .

Your drop is the place where you will store media files.  You can use their default name or create a drop with a name of your choice. That name will be a part of the website address you will use to retrieve the drop.

Click 'Add Files' to select which file you wish to 'Drop'.   You can password protect if you wish. Select a date to have the file automatically deleted.  Select viewing privileges.    Click 'Drop it'.

If asked about administrator passwords, you may want to do that so that you can delete files or edit their data after they have been uploaded.

Uploading may take a while depending on the size of the file you Dropped. When it is done, you will see a thumbnail of it your main media list page. You can click on the thumbnail to view it or get other sharing options.

When the thumbnail expands to full-size, you'll see links for sharing options. Clicking 'Embed' will give you the code you need to embed the video into a web page. (For PBWiki, copy that code, Insert the HTML plugin on your page, paste the code in that box, click preview and then OK.)

Clicking 'Link' will give you two different options for internet web links that you can send to someone you want to see the video.
