Blogging in the Classroom with Edublogs
Introduction
Blogging is not just another Internet fad, but a growing phenomenon. Blogs are designed to be an interactive web log or journal, and users can easily create web content to be collaboratively maintained with others. Teachers of course are learning how to utilize blogs as an academic tool as well as a communication tool for the classroom.
Overview
Participants will be introduced to what a blog is and how it works. After setting up their own blog during the training, participants will discuss legitimate uses for blogging such as a writing center, classroom assignment note board, and parent communication website. They will then begin to develop a blog for classroom use.
