The purpose behind austinit  is to provide a common place for technology integration training materials as well as a teacher portfolio warehouse. For more information about Austin ISD Instructional Technology, please visit our homepage.

    Training and Workshop Page

These pages will be used for training purposes. Not only will it provide structure and resources during our training, but campuses should feel free to use these resources to provide their own training if so desired.

    Teacher Portfolios

Tracking teacher professional development is important for the teacher as well as the district. Teachers can show growth and time in training by adding to their portfolio each time the attend a training session. The portfolio products will also be available to other teachers so we can continue to learn from each other and work as a learning community to improve our curriculum. IT will use the portfolio pages to show completion of courses as well as a tool for identifying trends in successful classroom implementations.

Hello Howard. Do you want us to list only IT training?
I sure wish I was able to make one of the Wiki trainings this past summer. I have created mine, but I'm just playing around with it. I created a slide and put it on my ohenrykeyboarding wiki front page, but when I open the wiki it started playing on it's own, and I couldn't get it to stop. So I just deleted it -- I'll try more later.
