Teachers receiving training from Instructional Technology are expected to create some documentation on their own portfolio page that demonstrates completion of the training. Teachers will login using their district email address and update their page for each training they attend. Please follow our wiki guidelines for posting to your portfolio.
Post all documentation on one page unless otherwise directed by the trainer.
Put most recent training at the top of your page with a row of astericksl or another character between.
Please date each portfolio entry.
Documentation may be a copy of your training product, a link to your product if online elsewhere, or at least a brief description of your training effort.
!! When uploading ANY file, make sure the filename begins with your email shortname. This will help you manage your files when they are in the same storage place as all other teachers. ex: img003.jpg should be named username_img003.jpg or usernameimg003.jpg .
An example is shown below the Teacher Portfolio Link Index below.

July 12- Learning With Voicethread.com
I really got a lot out this workshop. Arturo did a great job presenting how to use Voicethread as well as how I can incorporate it into my curriculum. This Voicethread was one made by a lady in Washington State. Arturo showed us how to find Voicethreads that have already been made and how we can interact with them. Thanks!!

July 7th - Podcasting Reading Samples
I was very surprised how easy podcasting was to use. This training focused on making simple podcasts for recording student reading samples. I made this podcast of my daughter (4 yrs) reading. I decided to upload it to my new Gcast podcast site. It was free and easy to setup.
I can see how using this technology will allow me to better track reading levels, be able to communicate them to my parents, and develop a portfolio of student achievement that would include real audio of the student reading. What a great way to show improvement at the end of the year! I'm looking forward to using this in the Fall.

July 3rd - Writing Centers and Blogging
I have used blogs before, but this workshop had us discussing how to use a blog as a writing center. We shared ways that we could incorporate a blog into this time as well as how we can best manage our classroom movement/behavior as we begin to incorporate more independent computer work.
Howard shared classroomblogging.wordpress.com as a resource for blogging tips. I started my own blog (myreallygoodblog.edublog.org) today and I have very high hopes that it will make an incredible impact on my classroom.
